Aswan to Luxor to Dendera

Day 1 – Arrival in Aswan & Philae Temple

Arrive at Aswan International Airport by 9:00 AM (recommended). You will be warmly welcomed and transferred to visit the enchanting Philae Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Isis and beautifully set on an island surrounded by the Nile’s waters. After the visit, board Fayrouz Sanctuary and enjoy lunch as your dahabeya begins sailing north. In the evening, anchor near a scenic Nile island for a special highlight — a BBQ picnic and candlelit dinner on the shore, creating a magical first night beneath the stars.

Day 2 – Kom Ombo & Gebel El Silsila

Enjoy breakfast onboard as you sail toward Kom Ombo. Visit the remarkable Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely dedicated to the gods Sobek and Horus and dramatically positioned along the river. After lunch, continue sailing to Gebel El Silsila, the ancient sandstone quarry that supplied stone for many of Egypt’s great temples. The towering cliffs rising directly from the Nile create a peaceful and powerful setting.

Day 3 – Island Walk & Authentic Nile Life

This day is dedicated to experiencing the slower rhythm of the Nile. Step ashore for a gentle walk through banana and mango plantations on a small island, followed by a visit to a welcoming local home for tea and conversation — an authentic cultural exchange. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. You may choose to: • Kayak along the calm waters • Swim in the Nile • Try traditional fishing • Relax on deck and enjoy the scenery In the evening, enjoy live music performed by local musicians under the open sky.

Day 4 – Edfu & Riverside Reflection

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Temple of Horus at Edfu, the most complete and best-preserved temple in Egypt. Later, sail to a tranquil riverside location and take a peaceful walk to a hilltop burial site of a respected Sufi saint — a quiet place for reflection with breathtaking views over the Nile.

Day 5 – Esna & Temple of Khnum

Arrive in the historic town of Esna. Visit the beautifully preserved Temple of Khnum, renowned for its vivid ceiling colors and intricate carvings. Afterwards, enjoy time exploring Esna’s local market and charming streets. Return to the dahabeya and cross the Esna Lock as you continue sailing toward Luxor.

Day 6 – Karnak Temple & Departure from Luxor

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast onboard before disembarkation. Before departure, visit the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple, one of the largest religious complexes ever built and a powerful conclusion to your Nile journey. After the visit, transfer to Luxor International Airport for your onward flight. (Recommended departure after 3:00 PM.)
